CONQUER THE MOUNT KILIMANJARO

WITH

ZOE EXPEDITIONS

The roof of Africa, as popularly known is one of the most favourite sites for many of the safari enthusiasts coming to Africa. As attractive as it is, Mount Kilimanjaro remains a once-in-a-lifetime challenge. The icon of Africa is a World’s free standing mountain, raising 5,895 meters above sea level and around 4,900 meters above its plateau base.

The Mount Kilimanjaro trail begins at the mountain’s base and ascends five vertical kilometers to the top. The temperature decreases considerably from tropical Tanzania’s warmth. Throughout the duration of the Kilimanjaro route, you will see numerous Kilimanjaro Flora and Fauna in the deep rainforest at 1800 meters – 2800 meters; this is the next phase of vegetation. Rainfall in this jungle ranges from 1000 to 2000 mm per year.

Depending on the route selected, Mount Kilimanjaro can be fully climbed between 5 to 10 days (including ascension and dissension). Kibo is the tallest of the mountain’s three summits (Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira), and it may be reached via a variety of paths. Each of these routes has its unique length and difficulty. This is an important factor for Kilimanjaro climbers since it impacts the number of days needed to reach the summit, acclimatization success rate, current fitness level, time needed for preparation before climbing, and so on.

Although Mount Kilimanjaro may be climbed at any time of year, certain months are simply better than others. When organizing a safari, it is usually a good idea to double-check the weather. Zoe Expeditions is here to assist you along the process. Get in touch with us today to start organizing your safari.
